About Kristy Galehouse, D.P.T.
Kristy Galehouse joined Compass Rehabilitation Center team in 2009 after working in a predominantly sports medicine clinic in the Lansing area. Compass Rehabilitation Center’s multidisciplinary approach and one-on-one focus on patient care made joining the team an easy choice for her.
Kristy earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Promotion and Rehabilitation and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, both from Central Michigan University. Kristy is trained to treat all orthopedic conditions, but has been increasingly involved in treating patients with shoulder, knee, and ankle conditions, with a focus on supporting individuals to return to their peak athletic performance. Kristy has experience in designing sports- specific testing and program development after surgical intervention on knees to restore the competitive abilities of both the committed and casual athlete. She has taken courses in pilates, taping techniques, aquatics rehabilitation, foot/ankle mechanics, and manual therapy. She is currently working towards strength and conditioning certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
