Pain Psychology Rehabilitation in Michigan

Our pain psychology team of Dr. John Jerome, Ph.D. and Jennifer Flaminio, MSW believe that chronic pain is its own disease process that imposes severe emotional, physical, economic and social stresses on patients and families. There is no question that continuous pain greatly erodes any chance at a meaningful life. The goal of working with a pain psychologist or psychotherapist, when a complete pain cure is not possible, is to reduce and manage the pain, restoring function and quality of life. Dr. Jerome and Ms. Flaminio work closely together to provide psychological counseling to patients. Together, they offer options including individual psychotherapy; group pain management therapy; biofeedback and muscular relaxation training; cognitive behavioral therapy; and make disability determinations.
